The Staff Accountant is a key member of the Controller’s organization, responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial accounting and reporting. This role manages month-end close processes and provides critical analysis to regional and corporate leadership. Key responsibilities include:
Financial Accounting & Reporting: Lead month-end close activities, including ledger account analysis and the preparation of complex journal entries.
Strategic Analysis: Conduct detailed research and internal reporting to provide actionable financial insights for Division and Corporate stakeholders.
Audit & Compliance: Support internal and external audit requirements and execute high-priority ad-hoc projects.
ALABS Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison for shared services (AP, Billing, Fixed Assets), ensuring seamless operational alignment per the RACI matrix.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
Minimum of 1-2 years financial accounting and/or financial reporting experience.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of general accounting matters and IFRS/GAAP.
Strong 'client service' mindset and ability to work well with internal customers and external parties.
Capable of prioritizing responsibilities on a daily basis to meet required deadlines.
Exhibits customer-focused behavior such as building positive relationships and strives to understand customer's needs, both internal and external.
Ability to handle difficult situations diplomatically and professionally.
Apply analytical skills through critical thinking with an ability to perform creative problem-solving.
Intermediate computer skills (Google Suite, Microsoft Excel).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAP and/or ERP systems.
