REGENXBIO is an exceptional place to work. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the best and the brightest people, touch amazing science, and be a part of extraordinary plans. Our core values: Trust, Accountability, Perseverance, and Innovation drive everything we do. We aim to bring these values to life every day with all that we do, and we believe that what we do matters - to patients, to their families, and to their communities.
The opportunity
As the Associate Director, Rare Disease Product Marketing, you’ll serve as an insights-driven brand marketer and strategic partner to Commercial, Portfolio, and cross-functional teams. Through this work, you’ll shape and execute product marketing strategy, customer engagement, and launch readiness. You’ll develop integrated brand plans, positioning, messaging, and promotional initiatives for HCP, payer, caregiver, and field audiences. Bringing together market research and field feedback to inform decisions, you will balance strategic planning with hands-on execution across the product lifecycle.
\nWhat you'll be doing
Lead the development and execution of integrated rare disease brand plans, including customer segmentation, positioning, messaging, and omnichannel tactics for HCP, payer, caregiver, and field audiences.
Translate market research, competitive intelligence, and field feedback into actionable recommendations that inform brand planning, launch readiness, value positioning, and marketing performance.
Develop and manage HCP- and payer-facing promotional materials, including digital and field-facing tools, through the promotional review process to ensure strategic alignment, scientific accuracy, and timely execution.
Manage agency and vendor partnerships for market research, creative development, media, analytics, and other marketing services to ensure high-quality, actionable deliverables on time and within budget.
Lead annual operating planning and marketing budget management; prioritize initiatives, track spend and coordinate promotional asset lifecycle updates to support evolving brand and launch needs.
Collaborate with Commercial, Medical, Market Access, Regulatory/Legal review, R&D, Corporate Affairs, and field teams to align brand strategy, customer engagement, advisory boards, peer-to-peer education, and congress initiatives.
Communicate clear, actionable recommendations tailored to senior stakeholders; partner with commercial training and field teams to enable effective rollout and adoption of new materials and initiatives.
Travel up to 25% for medical congresses, conferences, and internal meetings.
It is imperative that REGENXBIO employees embody our core values by working collaboratively, building strong relationships and using clear communication to meet shared objectives.
What we're looking for
We set our employees up for success. To be successful in this role and help us achieve our goals, we are looking for someone with the following skills and qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MS, PhD, MBA, PharmD) in life sciences, business, or a healthcare-related field preferred.
7+ years of product marketing, brand management, marketing strategy, commercial insights, or related commercial experience within biotech or pharmaceutical industry, with rare disease and/or Duchenne experience preferred.
Proven experience supporting or leading product launch preparation and lifecycle activities, including customer segmentation, brand strategy, promotional material development and approval, and field enablement.
Strong understanding of drug development and commercialization processes, ideally within a rare disease, specialty, or gene therapy setting.
Demonstrated ability to integrate primary (qualitative and quantitative) and secondary research into clear strategic recommendations, value propositions, and marketing tactics.
Experience developing HCP-, caregiver- payer-facing content and working through promotional review and approval processes while maintaining scientific accuracy and compliance.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
Track record of cross-functional collaboration with marketing, medical, market access, regulatory/legal, commercial operations, and field teams.
Highly organized self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and comfort operating in ambiguity.
