Lead the end-to-end strategy and execution of large-scale construction and facilities projects for aerospace manufacturing and test sites. Oversee capital budgets, contractor performance, and cross-functional alignment to ensure infrastructure supports production goals.
Requires 12+ years of construction project management experience, including 5+ years leading large-scale industrial projects valued between $20M and $200M+. A bachelor's degree or equivalent extensive work experience is required, along with expertise in aerospace or advanced manufacturing environments.

The rockets and satellites we build and launch enable some of the most ambitious and vital space missions globally, supporting scientific exploration, Earth observation and missions to combat climate change, national security, and exciting new technology demonstrations.
Our Electron rocket has become the second most frequently launched U.S. rocket annually and has delivered more than 230 satellites to orbit, all while we work to develop Neutron, our upcoming medium-lift, reusable launch vehicle for larger constellation deployment. Our Space Systems business designs and builds our extensive line of satellites, payloads, and their components, including spacecraft that have been selected to support NASA missions to the Moon and Mars and components used on the James Webb Space Telescope.
Rocket Lab’s Facilities team is responsible for maintenance, operations, and improvements projects across our locations, making sure that the facilities our teams use every day are well looked after and operating as they should.
The Construction Project Director is a senior leadership role responsible for planning, executing, and delivering large‑scale construction and facilities projects that support aerospace manufacturing, test operations, R&D environments, and mission‑critical infrastructure. This leader oversees all phases of capital construction – from concept and design through commissioning – ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to aerospace‑grade safety and quality standards.
The Director partners closely with Facilities, Manufacturing, Engineering, EHS, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership to ensure new facilities, expansions, and infrastructure upgrades align with long‑term operational and production goals.

Level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one component of our total rewards package at Rocket Lab.
