The Training Specialist delivers and facilitates technical and soft skills training to various groups and individuals. They are responsible for the end-to-end project management of training implementation, from needs assessment and content design to evaluation and reporting.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least five years of experience in education or training, or a combination of insurance and training experience. Project management experience and the ability to travel up to 20% of the time are mandatory.
This role will focus primarily on technical training (Example: billing & policy operations, Claims and Underwriting) and soft skills training (sales & customer experience).
Delivers and facilitates training to groups, managers, external customers and/or on-the-job (one-on-one) training. Topics primarily relate to operational training, processes, procedures and technologies. Provides guidance and assists in the design and development of training programs and preparation of training materials. Conducts evaluations of training and provides follow-up training to trainees as needed. Recommends training tools and formats. Works with managers and employees to identify methods of improving employee performance.
