Salary Range: $61,700 - $69,600 annually (based on experience) Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am-5pm, on call as needed

What You Bring (Requirements)
Education: High school diploma required; college degree preferred. Valid Driver’s License.
Experience: Two (2) years of administrative/supervisory experience, in a transportation setting. Five (5) years of experience in the transportation industry. Have (1) year experience in working with the frail or elderly population.
Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation.
Familiar with operation of accessible vehicles.
Experience with maintaining and oversight of a fleet of vehicles.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
The Transportation Director is responsible for the transportation program, including transport of residents/participants, meals, durable medical equipment, pharmacy, and any other transportation as deemed necessary. Responsible for hiring, training and supervision of all drivers and dispatchers. Oversees vehicle repairs and maintenance. Responsible for meeting departmental budget goals.
Supervises the transportation departmental staff. Responsible for departmental hiring, orientation, competency, and training procedures.
Functions as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT). Maintains regular attendance at, and participants in Interdisciplinary Team meetings; communicates participant changes, collaborates on plan of care decisions and coordination for twenty-four (24) hour care delivery.
Communicates Interdisciplinary Team decisions, participant changes, plan of care changes, and updated information to transportation staff on a daily basis.
Ensures responsibility for running and maintaining transportation scheduling software program.
Ensures effective daily communications, via radio calls or otherwise, between PACE Center, transportation drivers, dispatch and Transportation Coordinator.
Monitors use of Driver/Dispatch overtime, ensure adequate staffing and improves efficiency.
Collaborates with the Executive Director in the annual and capital budget development.
Maintains the departmental budget within its allowed and reasonable objectives as well as meets established budgetary guidelines
Oversees vehicle maintenance program and obtains estimates and authorizes vehicle repairs per departmental policies.
Participates in and supports Quality Improvement Initiatives.
Performs other duties as required or requested.
