This position will be on site at our facility located in: Frisco, TX.
We do not offer visa sponsorship for this position.
Position Summary: The Superintendent holds full authority and accountability for field execution on their project — safety, schedule, quality, and site operations. Partnered with the Project Manager on equal footing, with shared accountability for the bottom line, this role decides how the work gets built and holds every trade on site to that plan.
Key Roles / Responsibilities:
Maintain and update project schedules, including micro-schedules and recovery plans, and assess impacts with the Project Manager.
Keep the project tracking to finish within contract and bid timeframes.
Lead weekly subcontractor meetings, schedule reviews, safety meetings, and daily huddles.
Attend and actively contribute to OAC meetings.
Conduct design and constructability reviews so the design supports realistic means and methods.
Flag critical-path risks and potential pitfalls during preconstruction.
Partner with Project Managers and estimators on conceptual budgeting, planning, and scheduling.
Take part in procurement scope review meetings and manage the project expediting log.
Resolve warranty call-backs proactively after completion.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
Ten Five or more years supervising commercial construction projects, with full-site responsibility on at least one.
Four-year degree in construction science, construction management, or engineering — or equivalent hands-on experience.
Fluency reading plans, specifications, details, and construction documents.
Familiarity with multiple structural systems: pre-cast, cast-in-place, tilt wall, wood frame, steel frame, and pre-engineered metal building.
Current certifications: First Aid/CPR, Scaffold Competent Person, Trench Safety, Fall Protection, OSHA 30-Hour, and Forklift/Lull Operations.
A proven record of finishing projects on time and on budget.
Proficiency with project management and scheduling software.
Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to job sites across the DFW area.
Working Conditions:
Bending, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, sitting stand, walk, kneel, stoop, squat, pull, push, climb, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and see and standing (occasionally) for long periods of time.
The essential duties of this position require moderate to heavy lifting and carrying.
Must be able to position oneself to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, attics, and tunnels and demonstrate manual dexterity and be able to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Exposure to moderate noise levels, vibrations, and bright lights; and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases; and all climate types including hot and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, snow, etc.
Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed.
React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet.
Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions.
Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.
Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.
