TheRoadway Foreman's primary function is to supervise and coordinate roadway construction crews, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications, schedules, and quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Plan, organize, and supervise daily roadway construction activities.
Lead and direct craft workers, equipment operators, and laborers.
Ensure projects are completed according to plans, specifications, and schedules.
Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials to maximize productivity.
Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with project requirements.
Communicate project needs, progress, and issues with superintendents and project management.
Interpret construction drawings, grades, and specifications.
Track production quantities and maintain daily reports.
Identify and resolve field issues to minimize delays and rework.
Ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of tools and equipment.
Train and mentor crew members to support workforce development.
May perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
5+ years of roadway construction experience required.
2+ years of supervisory or foreman experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of highway, roadway, paving, grading, drainage, curb, and concrete construction practices.
Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction schedules.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
May be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly.
Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn.
Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for long periods.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
