The FAB Welder performs routine welding operations on standard assemblies using manufacturing information and blueprints. They are also responsible for operating fabrication equipment, maintaining tools, and performing daily TPM and 5S+ tasks.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and a welding certificate or diploma from an accredited institution. A demonstrated welding ability is required, and applicants must reside within a 50-mile radius of the work location.

The hourly rate for this position is $22.00 per hour.

The FAB Welder will perform routine welding operations of a repetitive and non-repetitive nature on standard and near-standard assemblies. Assist other operators in their work as directed/required.
In this function you will:
A. Perform welding from manufacturing information, bills of material, written and/or oral instructions.
B. Operate equipment/machinery to produce parts.
C. Interpret work orders including: written oral, Kanban cards, and drawings.
D. Maintain necessary tools and materials for continuous operation.
E. Inspect final component against work specifications.
F. Perform necessary operator maintenance on machining and fabrication equipment.
G. Provide on-the-job training for new operators.
H. Perform TPM and 5S+ responsibilities daily.
I. Pick up and place scrap in appropriate containers.
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution is required.

• Demonstrated welding ability/knowledge – A welding demonstration is required
• Welding certificate or diploma from accredited institution
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience reading calipers and tape measures/scales
• Previous experience reading blueprints
• Previous experience in Fabrication
• Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead
• Proven history of safe work habits
• Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision
• Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.
• Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends
