La Vie en Rose is a leading Canadian lingerie, sleepwear, and swimwear retailer with a growing presence across North America. As part of our continued expansion in the United States, we operate in four different states and are committed to providing our teams with the tools and support needed to succeed. The selected candidate will be required to attend training at our Distribution Center located in Montreal, Quebec. Candidates must be able to travel to and attend the training, which is expected to last approximately two (2) to three (3) weeks.
The incumbent is responsible for supervising employees assigned to the USA Distribution Center and guiding them toward achieving operational objectives and daily goals established in service quality agreements. The incumbent must create an environment focused on teamwork and collaboration. The primary responsibilities of this position include demonstrating leadership, ensuring effective communication, training staff, and participating in planning activities in collaboration with the Director in order to make decisions aimed at the continuous improvement of business processes.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and directly supervise a team of up to ten (10) employees performing functions related to e-commerce order fulfillment, receiving and distributing merchandise, and processing e-commerce returns;
Optimize productivity by effectively evaluating and allocating labor resources to efficiently manage daily workload requirements;
Define and implement new processes that may be required since this operation is a start-up in USA;
Hiring and training new employees or agency staff in peak seasons;
Effectively supervise departments to consistently achieve performance targets and service quality agreement objectives;
Act as a leader by guiding his team toward achieving KPIs while ensuring the highest level of customer service;
Ensure smooth daily operations and that daily priorities are met;
Manage personnel, including supervision, conflict resolution, planning, organizing, directing, and controlling shift activities, as well as conducting performance evaluations for team members;
Supervise the put-away and location assignment of merchandise received during the day shift;
Prepare merchandise distributions to be completed during the day shift;
Receive incoming orders and shipments;
Supporting and being involved in the execution of operational tasks when required (ex: picking orders, putaway tasks, lift truck operations);
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of distribution center inventory;
Monitor and track distribution center statistical data;
Actively participate in the development of operating budgets, monitor monthly variances, justify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions when required;
Track employee hours, absences, and tardiness on a daily and weekly basis;
Liaise with day-shift supervisors to coordinate priorities and maintain communication with various head office departments;
Promote and implement all health and safety policies and regulations to maintain a safe work environment;
Develop processes and procedures to improve operations and recommend changes when necessary;
Maintain cleanliness and order throughout the distribution center.

Requirements

Available to work Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., 40 hours per week.
A high level of autonomy is required, as the Director of Operations is based remotely in Quebec, Canada.
