Summer Intern Program
At APA we’re not just about pipelines and power – we’re about powering potential.
Our Summer Intern Program is a structured and supported program that runs for 12 weeks from 30 November to February and gives you a taste of what it’s like to work with us and the energy infrastructure industry.
What can you expect?
Meaningful work, on-the-job-training and appropriate supervision whilst you’re learning and gaining hands-on experience.
A fully supported program offering comprehensive on-boarding and induction, as well as virtual workshops with your peer cohort and in-person social activities and networking.
Opportunity to be considered for our Graduate Program dependant on positions and locations available for the coming year.

About You
You are currently in your penultimate year of a Bachelor of Law, Business Information Systems or IT
You’ve achieving an overall credit average (65 WAM or GPA equivalent)
You’re available to complete a 12-week summer intern program from 30 November 2026
You’re an Australian / New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident in Australia.

Enjoys learning – you’re curious about legal operations, data and emerging AI technologies, ask thoughtful questions and build confidence through experience knowing you don’t have to have all the answers from day one.
Has a strong sense of ownership and care – you take pride in delivering accurate, well-considered work and are eager to learn how effective data management, legal processes and responsible AI practices help improve efficiency, manage risk and support better business outcomes.
Has a collaborative mindset – you value teamwork, bring others along with you and feel comfortable learning from people with different perspectives, disciplines and backgrounds.
Is motivated to contribute – You’re excited by the opportunity to develop your understanding of legal operations, data management and AI, and to help the team identify innovative ways to improve operations within an organisation’s Legal Counsel.
