The AVP of Marine Underwriting is responsible for driving underwriting quality, strategic direction, and oversight for the Marine Business Unit. Our Marine Underwriting team is seeking an Assistant Vice President to join our team in the Dallas or Houston, TX locations. This is a full-time, exempt role. This is a hybrid opportunity.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The AVP of Marine Underwriting reports directly to the President of Marine, with responsibility for driving underwriting quality, strategic underwriting direction and underwriting oversight for the Marine Business Unit. The incumbent demonstrates a high level of underwriting expertise partnering with leaders, underwriters, and corporate underwriting resources to ensure a consistent level of underwriting discipline, effective organizational management, and communication in driving the business.

The target hiring range for this role may vary based on geographic location and other factors, including merit or performance, demonstrated proficiency, skills for the role, education, travel requirements, and experience.
