The Radiologic Technologist performs X-ray procedures and assists medical providers with patient care, including rooming, vital signs, and point-of-care testing. They are also responsible for maintaining equipment, ensuring radiation safety, and managing accurate medical records.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and be a graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist program. Required certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration.

What You’ll Do For Our Patients
Job Description
The Radiologic Technologist (RT) works with Medical Providers and/or Medical Assistants with the examination and treatment of Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care patients. This role is responsible for providing a variety of technical procedures and applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis for our Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care patients. This role is responsible for performing and analyzing patient x-rays and reporting results to Medical Providers. Additional responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care Centers. In a collaborative manner, the Radiologic Technologist will provide support to Medical Providers, Medical Assistants and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.
Job Requirements
1. Knowledge of X-ray procedures and protocols.
2. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology necessary to perform X-ray testing including body mechanics
and patient movement.
3. Knowledge of radiology equipment including safety hazards common to radiology.
1. Positioning patients properly for the X-ray procedure required.
2. Identifying equipment problems and correcting or notifying supervisor.
3. Following infection control and radiological safety procedures.
