Full job description
TeksMed is seeking a Return to Work Coordinator to join our Chilliwack team. In this role, you will support employers and injured workers by managing WCB/WSIB claims and guiding the return-to-work process.
You will collaborate with employers, injured workers, healthcare providers, and WCB/WSIB representatives to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective return-to-work outcomes. Your responsibilities include reviewing claim information, identifying potential delays, coordinating medical and workplace information, and facilitating modified duties or further medical assessments as needed.
We’re hiring for fit, attitude and potential—we will provide training on the technical aspects of claims management and return-to-work coordination. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, building relationships, and making a meaningful impact for both workers and employers.
The Return to Work Coordinator will:
Manage new and ongoing claims, identify potential delays, and take action to minimize costs.
Coordinate with employers, workers, healthcare providers, and WCB/WSIB representatives to facilitate return-to-work plans.
Arrange medical assessments, diagnostics, and interventions as needed.
Prepare documentation and reports for clients, WCB/WSIB, and legal providers.
Participate in Return-to-Work meetings, client calls, and visits.
Maintain accurate records and databases to track claim progress.
Support complex or high-cost claims with guidance from your team leader.
To be successful as a Return to Work Coordinator with TeksMed, you will need:
2+ years in an administrative and/or medical role in a professional environment.
Strong business writing, documentation, and research skills.
Excellent time management, prioritization, and attention to detail.
Comfortable communicating, negotiating, and problem-solving independently.
Analytical mindset and ability to make confident decisions.
Commitment to complete NIDMAR courses and certification within 12 months.
Comprehension of contentious claims and WCB/WSIB policies, procedures, and requirements is an asset, and we’re happy to provide training.
Understanding of medical terminology is an asset, with full support and guidance provided for learning.
