Key Essential Functions and Accountabilities of the Job
Compensation Strategy & Program Management
Support the development and administration of compensation programs, including base pay, incentive plans, clinical differentials, and premium pay programs.
Conduct market pricing and compensation benchmarking using healthcare and general industry surveys.
Evaluate jobs and recommend appropriate pay grades, salary ranges, and classifications.
Partner with leadership to ensure compensation programs remain competitive, equitable, and aligned with organizational goals.
Market Analysis & Job Evaluation
Perform compensation analyses for new positions, promotions, reorganizations, and special pay requests.
Maintain job architecture, job descriptions, and compensation structures.
Conduct internal equity reviews and external market assessments to support pay decisions.
Compliance & Governance
Ensure compensation programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
Conduct compensation audits to identify risks and ensure policy compliance.
Support pay transparency and pay equity initiatives.
Data Analytics & Reporting
Analyze compensation data and workforce trends to provide actionable insights.
Develop occasional presentations for executive leadership.
Support annual salary survey participation and market data submissions.
Partnering & Consultation
Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and HR partners on compensation-related matters.
Consult with Talent Acquisition regarding offers, hiring ranges, and recruitment challenges.
Provide compensation education to managers.
Monitor healthcare labor market trends and provide recommendations to leadership.
Required Education
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Masters degree preferred.
Required Experience
6+ years of progressive compensation analysis experience.
Experience conducting market pricing, salary structure development, and job evaluations.
Understanding of healthcare compensation models and methodologies, compensation benchmarking, and associated regulatory requirements.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and compensation analytics.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with HRIS (Workday preferred)
Professional certification (CCP, PHR, SPHR, or similar)
Project management experience

Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and modeling.
