Requirements
Candidates must hold a Washington Dietitian or Nutritionist certification and be a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. A Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) credential is required or must be in progress, along with relevant clinical experience.

Provides individualized and group education, counseling, and support in Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME), Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT), diabetes prevention programs, and other health and wellness initiatives. Required Qualifications:
Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement
Washington Dietitian Certification upon hire -OR- Washington Nutritionist Certification
National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration upon hire
Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) upon hire or preparing for the NCBDE qualifying examination
6 months of experience providing diabetes education and/or 15 contact hours within past year in diabetes and diabetes clinical and educational subjects
Preferred Qualifications:
Credentialed as a diabetes education specialist or diabetes clinical management specialist
CDE certified
3 years of experience as a healthcare professional
