The Registered Nurse will deliver high-quality patient care in the Labor and Delivery unit by utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate interventions. They are responsible for maintaining continuity of care and ensuring patient safety while supporting family-centered practices.
Candidates must hold an Associate degree in Nursing or a Nursing Diploma and possess at least one year of experience as a registered nurse. Required certifications include RN licensure, BCLS, NRP, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and CPI training.

Work hours: Part Time-24 Hours; Nights; 7:00 pm-7:00 am
Labor and Delivery highlights:
· Average 120 deliveries per month
· Focused on the experience of all who enter the hospital

· Supportive of the patient’s vision of the Labor & Delivery process
Here’s What You Need
· Associate degree Nursing required or Nursing Diploma
· BSN (Preferred)
· 1 Year Experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program (Required)
· At least 1 year of labor and delivery experience as a registered nurse (Preferred)
· RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required upon hire)
· BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (Required) And
· NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days (Required) And
· ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days (Required) And
· IFM - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring 6 Months (Required upon hire) And
· NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days (Required) And
· CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req
What You Will Do
· Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
· Assesses the patient
· Plans the care of the patient
· Intervenes as appropriate
· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
