Delivers professional nursing care across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative settings for patients undergoing invasive procedures. Responsibilities include performing scrub and circulating functions and assisting physicians with surgical tasks.
Requires a current State of PA RN license or multi-state licensure through the eNLC and CPR certification. Candidates must also possess Act 33, 34, and 73 background clearance certificates.
Delivers professional nursing care in the preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative settings to patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures.
Performs scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure.(40%)
Performs circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.(40%)
Assists operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning.(20%)
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
