The Cardiac Sonographer performs diagnostic, non-invasive, and invasive cardiac exams using ultrasound equipment to evaluate heart function. Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, monitoring them during exams, and documenting findings in the electronic medical record.
Candidates must hold a BLS certification and be credentialed as an RDCS or RCS. An associate degree in a cardiovascular-related field and at least one year of experience are preferred.
