As a Medical Assistant, you will work within a clinical support team to deliver exceptional patient care and improve health outcomes. You will assist in managing chronic health conditions and navigating social determinants of health to ensure a smooth clinic operation.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and have completed a competency-based Medical Assistant training program. Additionally, applicants must obtain a BLS certification and a recognized Medical Assistant certification within 120 days of hire.
The Family Medicine Practice is part of the Multi-Specialty Clinic which includes multiple practices and specialties under one roof. The Family Medicine Practice currently consists of 5 APPs and 6 MDs. We are a Value-based clinic where we focus on providing the best patient experience while improving health outcomes, reducing the cost of care by managing chronic health conditions, and navigating social determinants of health. This office has a welcoming atmosphere where strong teamwork is encouraged. We lean on one another to provider exceptional care for our patients. Staff work together daily to ensure that the clinic runs as smoothly as possible.
Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.
As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.
High School Diploma or equivalent Required
Successful completion of a competency-based Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on skills. Required
1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 120 Days
