The Senior Technician is responsible for the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of orthotic and prosthetic devices to ensure optimal fit and function. They also manage inventory, maintain a safe work environment, and provide patient education regarding the use and care of devices.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and 4-6 years of related experience. A valid driver's license is required, while technical training and ABC or BOC certification are preferred.

The Senior Technician is responsible for fabricating prostheses or orthoses and their components. The technician fabricates the device to provide maximum fit, function, cosmetics and workmanship. The technician creates positive molds resulting in maximum fit, function, cosmetics and workmanship. The technician also repairs and maintains the orthotic devices. The technician is expected to keep abreast of all new fabricating techniques, must be familiar with the properties of pertinent materials and must be skilled in the use of appropriate equipment. This is a part time position (24 hours a week).
