About Center for Advanced Orthopedics & Sports Medicine
Rochester Knee and Sports Medicine was founded in 1985 by James V. Huebner, M.D., as a center of excellence for treating knee and sports medicine injuries. Since then, Dr. Huebner has retired, the name has stayed the same but the location, physicians and services have expanded to meet your orthopedic needs.
In 1998, we moved to a 48,000 square foot building in Auburn Hills. Our services have expanded to include state of the art physical therapy. By the end of the year, our physical therapy department plans to complete expansion, offering a wide array of therapy services. We have expanded in our number of physicians and their specialties, not only knee and sports injuries but now total joint replacement, trauma, fractures, foot/ankle and spine conditions. Some of our physicians are currently working with the FDA and manufacturing companies on total knee and total hip research. The goal of these projects is to evaluate the results of now cutting edge technology in joint replacement. If you would like more information or want to be considered to participate in one of our nationally FDA approved research studies, please contact our office.
Over the years, we have made many changes to improve our ability to treat your orthopedic needs. The only thing that stays the same is our name and our drive to improve.
