We also are a Pathway to Excellence-designated hospital, recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as being one of the best hospitals for nurses to work. We provide a full range of medical specialties and health care services to Summit County and the surrounding region, including surgical, emergency/trauma, critical care, birth center, orthopedics, breast care, digital mammography, breast MRI, radiology and imaging, infusion therapy, nuclear medicine, cardiology, oncology, Summit Sleep Disorders Center, Ear Nose and Throat (ENT), gastroenterology and Total Joint Replacement. In addition to 24/7, Level III emergency care at St. Anthony-Summit Hospital in Frisco, we have three emergency mountain clinics at the base of the Breckenridge, Copper Mountain and Keystone resorts, as well as urgent care and primary care available from CMG High Country Healthcare clinics in Frisco, Breckenridge and Silverthorne.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Critical Care Tech you will perform direct and indirect patient care in collaboration with an RN or Physician. While in this position you will be responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating and collaborating with the team to meet the physical and emotional needs of the patient. You will place orders, receive & stock supplies for the department/unit, and assist support staff with filing, medical records and daily tasks as assigned.
$4K Bonus Language/Housing Stipend Eligibility: Qualified external applicants with at least one year of experience may be eligible for a seasonal bonus up to $4,000!* $400/month Summit County housing stipend available for full time residents of Summit, Park, Eagle, Grand, Clear Creek, Chaffee, or Lake Counties. Must work at least 80% physically on-site at a Common Spirit facility in Summit County and full time or part time status (PRN ineligible). More details available upon offer.
Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified Critical Care Tech candidates will need the following:
One year healthcare experience (pre-hospital, ED and/or patient care) preferred
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Basic computer skills
High School Diploma or GED required
Current Colorado Emergency Medical Technician-Basic or A-EMT or EMT-Intermediate or Paramedic license required
IV certification required upon hire
Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
