Qualifications
Education/Training/Experience
Cardiovascular Anatomy and Physiology knowledge.
Attention to detail, high level of accuracy.
Use of radiologic equipment.
Extensive knowledge in the use of an auto injector.
Competent at table side scrub in with physicians on various Cath and/or Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures.
Understands the use of an IVUS machine.
Solid understanding of English, grammar, and punctuation.
Ability to exercise independent judgment on a regular basis.
Effective interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and to foster teamwork among fellow staff members.
Must have experience in performing a variety of Interventional Radiology procedures, e.g., PICC Line insertions, aortic run-offs, dialysis catheter insertions, percutaneous nephrostomy tube insertions/exchanges, Quintin Catheter procedures, or tunneled Catheter insertions, etc.
Demonstrates evidence of ability to prioritize based on and increased acutiy of patients and their needs.
Able to organize, plan and set priorities and complete assignments with minimal assistance and within designated work hours.
Takes initiative to recognize and report appropriate areas of concern.
Minimum two years’ experience as a registered Radiology Technologist in an acute care facility.
Interventional Neurology and/or EP experience strongly preferred.
Graduate from a certified school of Radiologic Technology.
Active California Radiology Technologist (CRT) license along with fluoro license and active American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) license required.
Current BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association required
