The LPN provides comprehensive healthcare to incarcerated individuals, including performing physical assessments and administering medications. Responsibilities also include managing chronic illnesses, providing wound care, and responding to medical emergencies within a secure environment.
Candidates must be a graduate of an LPN program with a high school diploma and hold an active state certification as an LPN or LVN. Ability to obtain BLS CPR certification and pass a criminal background check and drug screening is required.
NaphCare is hiring LPNs and LVNs to join our team of medical professionals in Childersburg, AL, where we manage all aspects of healthcare for the individuals who are currently incarcerated in the Childersburg Community Work Center.
Full Time and Part Time positions may be available!
As a Correctional Nurse, you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide care to the individuals in residence. Working within a controlled environment, where security is top priority and the days are never dull, you will have various duties to keep you engaged including performing physical assessments, administering medications, managing chronic illnesses, and responding to emergencies. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex medical needs.

As an LPN, you will play a critical role in our continued mission to provide quality healthcare that protects the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. Duties and responsibilities may include and not be limited to:
Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
