The Echo Technologist performs various diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures to obtain accurate images for physician evaluation. They are responsible for patient safety, equipment maintenance, and documenting results in the electronic medical record.
Requires 1-3 years of experience in echocardiography and a RDMS certification or graduation from an accredited sonography program. BCLS certification is required within 7 days of employment, while RDCS or RCS certifications are preferred.
