Operate, maintain, and repair central heating and cooling plant equipment, including high-pressure boilers and diesel generators. Monitor system gauges, perform scheduled preventive maintenance, and maintain detailed shift logs to ensure plant safety and efficiency.
Requires a Stationary Engineman certification (MMF class 4 B) and significant knowledge of heating and cooling plant systems. Candidates should have analytical troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform manual repairs using various tools.
The Stationary Engineman performs operational work in a central heating or central heating and cooling plant. The contract provides custodial services to federal government organizations at buildings and facilities. Within this context, BGIS functions to render service to clients in providing certified and trained Stationary Engineman to manage, operate and maintain various registered central heating and cooling plants.
