As a Laboratory Technician, you will support laboratory experiments and sample analysis in chemistry and biological sciences. You will assist with equipment maintenance, data documentation, and quality assurance activities.
A high school diploma and 3 years of laboratory experience in sample preparation and analysis are required. Candidates must be able to work in a BSL-2 laboratory and follow written procedures.

As a Laboratory Technician, you will be joining a dynamic team performing cutting edge research across multiple disciplines. Operating in a collaborative environment, you will provide invaluable support to a large government contract following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and project-specific guidance providing skilled laboratory and operational support in biology and chemistry for sample receipt, preparation, analysis, equipment upkeep, and inventory control. In this role you will assist with extraction and analysis of samples, maintain instruments and supply inventories, and help ensure the laboratory remains organized and ready for operations. You will support quality assurance activities by reviewing records, helping maintain compliance with program requirements, participating in audits and corrective action processes, and assisting with preparation of routine reports and documentation.

This full-time position is contingent upon contract award and will be in Washington DC.
Battelle is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The hourly range for this role is $19.51 - $26.34 per hour, in addition to our comprehensive benefits package. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to education, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications. Salary ranges may vary based on geographic location and market conditions.
