Akira Technologies is seeking a Budget Analyst to support National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) budget execution, financial management, funding tracking, reporting, and resource analysis. This position works closely with senior budget and financial management personnel to maintain accurate financial data, support budget requirements, and provide timely analysis that helps Government leadership manage resources and execute mission priorities.
This is a hybrid position with onsite presence up to two-three days a week in Washington, DC. Ideal candidates must be US Citizens with an active Public Trust clearance.
Key Responsibilities
Support NTIA budget execution, financial management, and resource planning activities.
Collect, organize, validate, and maintain budget and financial information.
Track funding, financial actions, resource requirements, commitments, obligations, and expenditures.
Assist with financial analysis, staffing and funding analyses, and resource planning.
Support recurring and ad hoc budget and financial data calls.
Prepare and maintain financial spreadsheets, trackers, reports, and supporting documentation.
Review financial information for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reconciliation.
Assist with identifying variances, funding issues, and resource requirements.
Support Senior Budget Analysts and other financial management personnel with analysis and reporting.
Coordinate with accounting, program management, operational, and administrative teams.
Support improvements to budget, financial, and reporting workflows and processes.
Develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
2+ years of experience in budgeting, finance, accounting, or resource management.
At least 2 years of experience collecting, organizing, validating, and analyzing financial or budget information.
Experience maintaining budget or financial trackers, reports, and supporting documentation.
Experience supporting Federal Government budgeting, finance, or accounting activities.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong quantitative, analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust designation or appropriate security clearance required for the position.
Preferred Qualifications
1+ year of Federal Government budget or financial management experience.
Experience supporting Federal budget execution, funding tracking, or financial reporting.
Experience with Oracle Federal Financials or a comparable financial management system.
Experience with financial reconciliation or resource planning.
Familiarity with SharePoint, Power BI, Tableau, and Microsoft 365.
Prior experience supporting the Department of Commerce or NTIA.
Salary Range: $70,000 to $80,000

This pay range estimate is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary, which Akira believes to be done in good faith in compliance with local laws.
