Perform X-ray inspection of investment castings to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards. Manage the processing of parts, complete required documentation, and route products to subsequent operations.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and certification or eligibility for NAS 410 Level I RT inspector status. Minimum of 2 years of experience in X-ray techniques is preferred, with a strong preference for foundry or aerospace industry background.
SUMMARY
Performs X-ray shoot operation of investment castings to support the X-ray Inspection operation for accept or reject as per specifications outlined in IMRS and processes parts per instructions on technique sheets in accordance with customer's processing procedures and acceptance criteria.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent in life experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Level I is a plus working with film and digital X-ray techniques..
Aerospace industry experience is a plus.
NDT Experience in a Foundry is strongly preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS
Certified or qualified to be certified to NAS 410 Level I RT inspector.
Additional method certifications desired but not required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
