We partner with the business and own our platform of internal tools throughout their lifecycle — intake, prioritization, buy/build, implementation, support, and retirement.
As an Application Administrator on the Growth & Activations team at Thumbtack, you'll play a key role in building and evolving AI agents and workflows across our entire internal tool ecosystem. You will be a cross-tool administrator responsible for managing and optimizing a diverse platform that supports our Sales, Commercial Ops, and Partnerships teams. You'll collaborate with other admins, product managers, and operations leaders to execute on a broad range of projects — from backend architecture to optimizing lead routing and campaign targeting through intelligent automation.

We're looking for a platform-minded specialist ready to drive measurable impact through thoughtful cross-platform design and process innovation, ensuring our stack of tools works seamlessly as a unified engine for growth.
Lead the development, deployment, and management of AI agents and automated workflows across the internal tech stack to support go-to-market teams
Optimize cross-platform processes related to lead management, forecasting, and partner enablement, leveraging tools like Salesforce, Genesys, and middleware
Administer and support a broad tech stack including Salesforce, Pardot, Workato, Ironclad, and various conversational AI platforms
Collaborate with Product and Engineering to design robust integrations and backend systems that power a unified employee experience
Design and launch MVPs for new AI-driven tools and automation experiments in a fast-paced environment
Drive best practices for data governance and documentation across all managed platforms, ensuring scalability and reliability
3–5 years of experience in cross-tool administration or platform operations, with a strong focus on building automated workflows
Proven experience developing or managing AI agents, bots, or advanced LLM-based integrations within a business context
A deep engineering and platform mindset, with proficiency in APIs, webhooks, and middleware tools (e.g., Workato)
Experience administering Salesforce as part of a broader ecosystem; Salesforce certification is a plus but not the primary focus
Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions across multiple platforms
Strong communication skills to bridge the gap between technical engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders
Demonstrated curiosity and a hands-on approach to AI, with a track record of proactively identifying opportunities to integrate AI tools into workflows to solve business problems, rather than just waiting for direction.
For candidates living in San Francisco / Bay Area, San Jose, New York City, or Seattle metros, the expected salary range for the role is currently $115,600 - $149,600.
For candidates living in Austin, TX or Washington DC metros or in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, or Washington states, the expected salary range for the role is currently $103,700 - $134,200.
For candidates living in all other US locations, the expected salary range for this role is currently $98,600 - $127,600.
Actual offered salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as calibrated job level, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
