The Co-Chair partners with the Department Chair to provide academic and administrative leadership, including faculty support, curriculum oversight, and strategic planning. The role also involves serving on the RSECS Leadership Team and acting on behalf of the Chair when necessary to ensure operational continuity.
The candidate must be a current faculty member in good standing within the Computer Science department. Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative leadership skills are required for this administrative role.
The Co-Chair partners with the Department Chair in providing academic and administrative leadership for the Computer Science Department. The Co-Chair assists in the orderly administration of the department and shares responsibility for advancing the department's mission while ensuring continuity of operations across the academic year.
Working closely with the Chair, the Co-Chair provides leadership in faculty support, departmental initiatives, curriculum oversight, and strategic planning. The position serves as a collaborative partner to the Chair and may act on behalf of the Chair when delegated or during periods of absence.
The Co-Chair is also a member of the RSECS Leadership Team and contributes to school-wide initiatives that support the success of students, faculty, and staff across the Ritchie School.

When requested by the Dean or Department Chair, the Co-Chair may serve as Acting Chair during temporary absences and assume delegated decision-making authority necessary to maintain departmental operations.

Reports to the Dean of the Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science and works in close collaboration with the Department Chair.

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

The stipend for this role is $4,500
