About the role:
Join Sandvik Rock Processing as Service & Quality Support and play a key role in delivering aftermarket maintenance, inspections, and technical support for our fixed plant and mineral processing equipment across customer mine sites and Sandvik facilities throughout Australia. Working within a highly skilled service team, you'll troubleshoot technical issues, perform preventative and breakdown maintenance, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a trade-qualified technician with strong fixed plant experience who enjoys travel, problem-solving, and building strong customer relationships in a dynamic mining environment.
A little about you:
While we offer training and development, we are looking for someone with the following skills to ensure you are set up for success:
Be able to qualify for mine site inductions, be computer literate, work on weekends and mobilise at short notice.
Previous experience in servicing mineral processing equipment, in particular vibration equipment, within mining industry.
Semi-skilled personnel need to have fixed plant experience.
Basic technical knowledge of mine processing and / or related fixed plant equipment preferred.
Strong understanding of safety requirements and commitment to working at the highest standards.
Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to forge deep customer relationships.
Must have solid technical knowledge of process or related equipment.
Problem solving abilities.
Tradesperson must have current relevant trade qualification.
Must possess excellent customer relationship skills.
Screen media and installation knowledge desirable.
Excellent time management skills.
Must possess a current Australian driver’s license.
Must hold a current National Police Clearance or be willing to obtain one.
Must have or have a willingness to obtain relevant tickets to be inducted to site including but not limited to working at heights, confined space access, dogging, overhead crane operation and forklift certificates.
Knowledge and experience to comply with isolation procedures & processes
Relevant trade/ site qualification desirable.
