Create designs and specifications for concrete and steel structures and foundations. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and lead small project segments while reviewing calculations and drawings.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and 4 years of experience in downstream plant engineering. Must be proficient in STAAD and MAT 3D for structural analysis and design.
Create designs, specifications and services related to structures and foundations made of concrete, steel, or engineered products. Perform all conventional aspects of the functional area subject matter. Devise new approaches to problems encountered. Plan, schedule, and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. Perform work which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements. Provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers. May lead a functional area on a small project or a segment of a larger project. Contribute to employee performance appraisals and coach lower-level professionals. Prepare and review calculations and drawings to meet the project requirements and design codes utilizing STAAD and MAT 3D. Assign work to draftsmen.
Telecommuting permitted up to 20% of the time.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field and 4 years of experience in downstream plant engineering and design.
Must have 4 years of experience in each of the following:
Domestic and international travel required up to 10%.
