The associate will plan, investigate, value, and settle large personal insurance property claims in compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements. They will also manage indemnity and expense exposure while collaborating with team members and mentoring junior staff.
Candidates must have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in full-file property claims adjustment and strong proficiency in cost estimation software like Xactimate. A college degree or equivalent experience is required, along with the ability to manage complex residential claims and perform nationwide catastrophe operations.

The successful Associate General Adjuster candidate will plan, recommend, reserve and execute the investigation, valuation, disposition and settlement of large personal insurance property claims in a manner consistent with corporate claim settlement policies and procedures and statutory, regulatory and ethics requirements throughout the United States as appropriate.

They will report to a Property Major Case Manager and operate in a team environment that will develop and share business knowledge and claim handling expertise with team members and business partners. Primary territory to include Southern California and Arizona, with additional responsibility for Las Vegas and Northern California. Regional support may also be required as needed.
Qualifications:

Qualifications:
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$85,200 - $162,000The posted salary range reflects our ability to hire at different position titles and levels depending on background and experience.
