The STAGES Pilot is a strategic initiative focused on strengthening The Salvation Army's intercultural mission across Australia. Working alongside faith communities, the program supports the development and adoption of practices that foster greater cultural diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
About the role
As the Intercultural Mission Development Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the STAGES Pilot. You will coordinate engagement activities, support data collection and reporting, and contribute to the successful implementation of the program.
Reporting to the Intercultural Mission Development Lead, this is a 12-month maximum-term contract offering 22.8 hours per week.This role is fully remote and open to candidates based anywhere in Australia.
How you will make an impact
Coordinate the day-to-day delivery of the STAGES pilot across participating corps and communities, ensuring activities are delivered on time and aligned to project objectives.
Support evaluation and reporting activities, including data collection, participant feedback processes, and collaboration with evaluation partners.
Coordinate training, coaching, and participant engagement activities, managing logistics, communications, and stakeholder liaison.
Contribute to the development, testing, refinement, and documentation of intercultural resources, tools, and frameworks based on pilot learnings.
Support post-pilot implementation planning, including continuous improvement initiatives, resource development, and preparation for broader program rollout.
What you will bring
Degree or certification in community engagement/development, social work, theology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience working respectfully and collaboratively with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, with excellent cross-cultural communication, empathy, and cultural competency.
Good understanding of Christian theology, pastoral sensitivity, and the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and faith traditions.

Mandatory National Police Check.
Valid Driver Licence (desirable).
