The Department of Neurology at Duke University School of Medicine is seeking an accomplished academic clinician with a strong record of leadership in clinical trials design, execution, and oversight in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD), a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary, and translational team, jointly supported by Neuroscience Trials Unit of the Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) and the Duke/UNC Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC). This clinician-scientist will play a central role in expanding and leading a world-class therapeutic development program in Alzheimer’s disease.

Provide scientific and clinical leadership in the design, conduct, and oversight of phase I–IV clinical trials in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias
Develop and lead an independent, externally funded clinical research program focused on disease-modifying and/or symptomatic therapies
Mentor junior faculty, trainees, and research staff in clinical investigation and trial methodology
Contribute to clinical care in memory disorders, consistent with the candidate’s specialty.
Appointment may be in the Department of Neurology, Psychiatry, or Medicine, depending on the candidate’s discipline and background
