About the Role
At BOQ Group, effective risk management is critical to achieving our strategic objectives and maintaining the trust of our customers, shareholders, regulators, and the broader financial system. As Manager – Risk Data Analytics, you will play a key role within the Group Risk function, providing second line oversight, expertise, and constructive challenge across operational risk data, reporting, metrics, and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) tooling. Reporting to the Head of Risk Frameworks, you will help drive a strong risk culture by ensuring risk information is clear, accurate, insightful, and supports informed decision-making across the organisation.
In this highly collaborative role, you will design, develop, and continuously enhance risk dashboards, reporting solutions, and analytics capabilities that provide meaningful insights into BOQ Group's non-financial risk profile. Working closely with stakeholders across Line 1, Line 2, Data, and Technology teams, you will translate business requirements into high-quality data visualisations and reporting outputs, ensuring alignment with the Operational Risk Management Framework, enterprise data standards, and evolving regulatory obligations, including CPS 230. You will analyse risk data to identify emerging trends, key themes, and opportunities for improvement, helping to strengthen governance, oversight, and executive decision-making.
As a trusted risk partner, you will contribute to the ongoing evolution of the Group's risk data and reporting capabilities, driving improvements in data quality, reporting practices, automation, and analytics maturity. Leveraging your expertise across risk frameworks, data management, and GRC platforms, you will challenge and influence stakeholders to deliver better risk outcomes while ensuring reporting remains fit-for-purpose, consistent, and reliable. About You
You are a data-driven risk professional with a strong background in analytics, reporting, and non-financial risk management. With at least five years’ experience in data analytics and visualisation, you have a proven ability to transform complex data into meaningful insights that support better business decisions. Degree qualified in a relevant discipline, you bring a solid understanding of risk management, compliance, assurance, and regulatory environments, along with experience working across enterprise data platforms, multiple data sources, and risk management systems such as ServiceNow GRC or similar GRC platforms and desired experience with Copilot Agents, Power Automate, Databricks, SQL, Python,Git.
You have advanced expertise in data visualisation tools, particularly Power BI, including data modelling, optimisation, and the development of intuitive dashboards and reporting solutions. Your analytical capability enables you to interrogate and interpret complex data sets, ensuring reporting outputs are accurate, reliable, and aligned to business objectives and risk frameworks. You are passionate about data quality and governance and have experience establishing reporting standards, metrics, controls, and visual frameworks that improve consistency, integrity, and decision-making across an organisation.
A collaborative and influential communicator, you are skilled at partnering with business, risk, technology, and data stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver practical solutions. You are comfortable challenging thinking, presenting insights to a range of audiences, and translating technical concepts into clear business outcomes. With experience working in Agile or project-based environments, you thrive in a changing landscape and enjoy supporting and coaching analysts and business users while driving continuous improvement in analytics capability, reporting maturity, and risk outcomes.
