Full job description
What's the role?
The Agile Transformation Lead/Coach is a pivotal, hands-on role supporting the Head of TDD Transformation Enablement at News Corp Australia. You will provide Agile coaching and leadership for the organisational change required to successfully embed Agile ways of working across a portfolio of strategic transformation initiatives within Technology, Data & Delivery (TDD). Working alongside the Value Management Office and Delivery Leads, this role focuses heavily on capability uplift, framework design, and cultural transformation to ensure Agile principles, practices, and mindsets are adopted and sustained across the business.
Responsibilities
Conduct Agile maturity and readiness assessments across programs to identify gaps in people, process, technology, and culture while establishing appropriate governance structures.
Coach teams, individuals, and leaders at all levels to deepen their Agile understanding, facilitate key ceremonies, and embed sustainable practices.
Guide the adoption of frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe, while actively identifying and escalating systemic impediments to Agile adoption.
Design, develop, and iterate Agile transformation playbooks that translate methodology into practical, accessible content aligned with the operating model.
Map and engage diverse stakeholders across Technology, Product, Editorial, and Corporate Functions to build confidence and momentum for the transformation.
Design and deliver targeted coaching programs, workshops, and learning experiences that build lasting internal Agile capability across the organisation.
Who are you?
You bring 8+ years of experience in Agile coaching and organisational transformation within complex, large-scale, and matrixed environments.
You hold a tertiary qualification in Business, IT, Organisational Psychology, or Change Management, and ideally possess certifications such as ICP-ACC, SPC, or PSM II/III.
You have a proven track record of designing and delivering end-to-end Agile transformation strategies and custom playbooks for large-scale programs.
You are capable of coaching at the team, program, and portfolio levels across multiple frameworks while translating technological changes into practical adoption plans.
You are an exceptional communicator who can simplify complexity, connect Agile strategy to execution, and influence senior leaders to adopt mindset and behavioural changes.
You operate with a structured yet adaptable approach in ambiguous environments, building trust quickly with diverse stakeholder groups through empathy and influence.
