Role Overview:

Our product organisation is maturing, and the operational complexity sitting underneath it is growing with it.

Too much of that complexity lands on the wrong people. PMs are spending time on process debt, chasing data that should be one click away, gathering signals from support tickets and customer calls that should be waiting for them, and navigating cross-functional noise that no one has thought to architect. That is the floor of what this role exists to fix, but it is not the ceiling.

We want someone who pushes our product organisation forward, not someone who maintains the status quo more efficiently. That means driving the team to be relentlessly customer-obsessed and AI-native at the same time: closer to the customer signal, faster to act on it, and willing to rebuild PM workflows around agents rather than retrofit AI onto the way things have always been done.

We need someone who treats our product organisation as their product. A product thinker who runs internal discovery, diagnoses friction, builds the systems that let our PMs do their best work, and is comfortable putting agents to work doing the rest.

Location:

This position will be based in our Sydney office. The candidate is required to attend the office a minimum of 3 days per week but may voluntarily elect to work either remotely or from the Sydney office for the remaining days of the week.

Key Responsibilities

Customer and market insights

  • Own the voice-of-customer program. Centralise and synthesise customer feedback, support tickets, NPS, win-loss analysis, and competitive intel so PMs spend less time gathering signals and more time deciding.

  • Build and maintain a centralised insights repository that turns what we learn from customers into compounding product knowledge.

  • Design the mechanisms that capture field insight from sales, success, and support and loop it back into roadmap decisions.

Product analytics, tools, and metrics

  • Own and optimise the insight stack, roadmapping, discovery, analytics, research repositories. Evaluate, implement, and partner with Delivery to maintain the tools PMs rely on. Clean workflows, high adoption, no sprawl.

  • Define and instrument the product metrics that matter. Build the dashboards. Help PMs interpret the data and drive the shift from output to outcome.

  • Reduce time-to-insight. Architect the connection between quantitative product data and qualitative discovery so decision-makers are not hunting for context when they need to move fast.

Launch and go-to-market coordination

  • Partner with Delivery to support the launch process end-to-end: readiness checklists, stakeholder alignment, enablement assets, post-launch review.

  • Be the connective tissue between product and the commercial side. Give marketing, sales, support, and customer success teams clear, predictable visibility into roadmaps and releases, without adding noise to the product team.

Enablement and leadership support

  • Onboard new PMs, run training, and codify ways of working. Develop and maintain the product playbooks and templates that turn individual practice into team practice.

  • Own the PM career framework and competency model as the function matures.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management within a technical, data-intensive software environment.

  • Proven ability to run the full product lifecycle — not just the delivery half. You’ve done discovery, shaped strategy, launched products, and measured outcomes.

  • Strong customer instinct backed by practice: you run discovery regularly, not when someone reminds you.

  • Comfort with data — you define metrics, analyse usage, run experiments, and let evidence guide decisions.

  • Experience with agile delivery methodologies and working in cross-functional squads with engineering and design.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across engineering, commercial, and executive audiences.

  • Comfort operating in ambiguity — you thrive when the map is incomplete and build clarity through action, not process.

Desired Expertise:
  • Background in one or more of: Investigations, Information/Data Governance, Forensic Investigations, eDiscovery, or cybersecurity.

  • Experience with cloud computing, SaaS platforms, and API-driven product architectures.

  • Hands-on experience building or shipping AI-native product capabilities.

  • Experience contributing to pricing, packaging, and commercialisation strategies for enterprise SaaS.
