Role purpose

Support the effective management and governance of operational activities across People COO functional specialisms, with a focus on People Operations. Execute hands-on implementation of simplified end-to-end processes and controls, leveraging available technologies (including AI-enabled platforms) to increase automation, improve accuracy, and enhance customer and colleague outcomes. Ensure delivery is customer-first and compliant with local and global policies and regulatory requirements, while identifying practical opportunities to standardise, simplify and continuously improve as business needs and technology evolve.

What you’ll do

• Execute implementation of agreed process changes across People Operations, ensuring consistent adoption, clear documentation (SOPs/playbooks), and appropriate control embedment.
• Support end-to-end journey simplification by mapping current processes, capturing pain points, and translating target designs into workable procedures and operational steps.
• Configure and maintain process enablement tools (e.g., workflow/case management, digital forms, knowledge articles, dashboards) and support rollout of AI-enabled features where available.
• Support and/or perform testing and validation for new or changed processes and tools, logging defects and escalating risks/issues with clear detail and recommended fixes.
• Produce and maintain market OpCo reporting and insights, co-ordinate insights and presents actionable narratives.
• Support governance routines (checklists, attestations, evidence packs, action tracking) to maintain audit-ready delivery and timely closure of audit/regulatory findings.
• Partner with SMEs, technology and data teams to resolve operational incidents, improve upstream data quality, and reduce recurring failures through standardisation and automation.
• Provide day-to-day guidance to users and stakeholders on processes and tools, improving colleague experience and reducing avoidable demand through clear “how-to” support.

What you’ll need

• Experience in operations delivery (ideally People/HR operations), shared services, or a similar process led environment, with evidence of hands-on implementation and continuous improvement.
• Strong hands-on working knowledge of technology-enabled operations (e.g. case tools, Excel/Power BI, AI tools); interest and hands on exposure to automation and AI-enabled capabilities is essential.
• Strong execution discipline with ability to manage multiple tasks to deadlines, follow standards, and maintain accurate records and audit-ready evidence.
• Analytical capability and attention to detail; comfortable working with data and insights to identify trends, exceptions and quality issues.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with confidence to raise issues early and propose pragmatic improvements.
• Understanding of operational risk and control fundamentals, with a focus on compliance with local/global policies and regulatory requirements.
