As an Intern in Expert Services practice, you will work alongside experienced professionals on forensic accounting, investigative, valuation and dispute consulting engagements. A typical week might include reviewing financial records, organizing and analyzing data, researching a company or industry, supporting a damages calculation, checking the accuracy of an analysis or helping prepare materials for an expert report or client presentation. You will receive guidance and feedback from your team while gaining exposure to complex, real-world business and legal matters. Apply now to join One Team, One Kroll.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support engagement teams in preparing forensic accounting analyses, financial models, business valuations and other financial analyses based on the needs of clients and legal counsel.
Research and analyze accounting, financial and business information to help engagement teams evaluate key issues in disputes and investigations.
Assist with the development and evaluation of damages claims and other financial calculations, including documenting assumptions, methodologies and supporting information.
Organize, reconcile and analyze financial records and large data sets to identify trends, inconsistencies and information relevant to the engagement.
Gather engagement-related information from client-provided materials, approved research sources, team discussions and, when appropriate, supervised client interactions or site visits.
Contribute to workpapers, expert reports, proposals, presentations and publications by translating detailed analysis into clear, well-supported materials.
Review analyses, reports and supporting materials for accuracy, consistency, completeness and adherence to Kroll’s quality standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting or Finance, or a closely related field at an accredited college or university.
Expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above.
Foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial-statement analysis developed through coursework, academic projects or prior experience.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, with an interest in developing advanced financial-analysis and data-management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain analytical work clearly and ask thoughtful questions.
Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, with the curiosity to investigate unfamiliar financial and business issues.
Careful attention to detail, sound organizational skills and the ability to manage deadlines, incorporate feedback and produce high-quality work.
Collaborative and proactive approach, with an interest in forensic accounting, investigations, valuation, dispute consulting and team-based client service.
