Job DetailsJob Location: The Anthem - Washington, DC 20024Position Type: Part TimeSalary Range: $18.50 - $18.50 HourlyCrowd Management Personnel (CMP) serve as one of the first points of contacts for guests as they are entering the venue. CMPs are responsible for the overall safety and security of guests and performing artists as well as ensuring the rules of the venue event are adhered to. The position requires a positive demeanor, professional appearance and strong communication skills. CMPs are reliable and trustworthy, able and willing to understand and execute the responsibilities of the position, arrive on time and work their entire shift. CMPs must have the ability to maintain a high level of customer service and ensure a positive guest experience while preventing and de-escalating acts of misconduct and/or disruptive incidents.
Maintain great customer service when interacting with guests.
Monitor and secure assigned areas of responsibility.
Examine tickets, passes and identification cards to determine authenticity.
Monitor crowd behavior and be preemptive to intervene as necessary.
Lead efforts to de-escalate disruptive behavior.
Monitor venue and entrances to ensure only authorized access.
Ensure all guests follow entry screening process.
Effectively communicate with shift supervisors and other CMPs.
Fulfill duties that are a part of the venue’s security plan.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you must have:
Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
Ability to work various shifts, weekends and occasionally holidays.
Ability to work nights (past Metro train closing time).
Ability to work well in groups and independently.
Ability to be proactive about the needs of guests and the venue.
Reliability to meet shift commitments.
Flexible scheduling.
In this role, you must be 21 or older to apply.
I.M.P. is an independent concert promotion and production company that puts on shows for 500 to 50,000 fans at a time. The company started small — small enough to fit into a kid’s bedroom. In the 36 years since I.M.P. opened its (bedroom) doors, it has presented more than 15,000 events, hosting millions of music fans. Some of the highlights include: Lollapalooza – promoted every year it was a touring festival (1991 to 1996). Merriweather Post Pavilion – took over operations and programming beginning 2004 and is ongoing today. Virgin Festival – launched the U.S. festival, produced and promoted each year it existed (from 2006-2013). Lincoln Theatre – began operating, programming and promoting starting 2013 and ongoing. In addition, I.M.P. produces and promotes shows at other D.C.-area venues, including RFK Stadium, The Verizon Center, Echostage, Eagle Bank Arena, DAR Constitutional Hall, The National Mall, U Street Music Hall, the Music Center at Strathmore, and in Baltimore, The Modell Performing Arts Center at The Lyric and The Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.
