Key Responsibilities - This will be a fixed term contract covering Parental leave for 12 months

• Develop and implement reservation policies, procedures and best practices to streamline operations.
• Monitor reservation requests across phone, email, website and third-party channels, ensuring guest information and preferences are accurately recorded.
• Manage inventory and room allocations to maximise occupancy and revenue.
• Recruit, train and supervise a team of reservation agents, conducting regular performance reviews, coaching and feedback.
• Collaborate with the Director of Operations and Sales & Marketing team to develop pricing strategies, promotions and packages that drive revenue growth.
• Analyse market trends and competitor strategies, and create and maintain an annual reservations plan and budget.
• Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered across all guest touchpoints, handling escalated issues to a satisfactory resolution.
• Monitor and analyse reservation data and KPIs, generating regular reports on trends, occupancy and revenue.
• Stay across reservation management software and tools, ensuring systems are maintained and updated to optimise processes.
• Assist colleagues with additional duties as required to support overall team performance.

What You’ll Bring

• Demonstrated experience in a reservations or similar hotel role.
• Working knowledge of hotel operating systems, such as Opera or iVvy.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to recruit, coach and develop a high-performing team.
• Commercial acumen, with a track record of driving revenue through pricing, promotions and forecasting.
• Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to make well-considered decisions under pressure.
• A customer-first mindset and a proven ability to resolve escalated guest issues professionally.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and reporting to inform decisions.
• A resilient, organised approach with the ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
