The News Producer is responsible for creating fast-paced, accurate newscasts for broadcast, digital, and social platforms. This includes writing broadcast copy, leading live breaking news coverage, and collaborating with production teams to execute strong storytelling.
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field and experience producing live newscasts. Preferred qualifications include at least 2 years of professional local television news experience in a medium- to large-market newsroom.

Cox Media Group (CMG) has an exciting opportunity for a News Producer who is creative, curious, and highly organized, and can build fast-paced, accurate, and memorable newscasts for broadcast, digital, and social platforms.
This role is ideal for a strong storyteller who thrives in a live newsroom, makes sound editorial decisions under pressure, and brings urgency, context, and clarity to every story. The News Producer will collaborate closely with anchors, reporters, meteorologists, editors, photographers, digital teams, and production staff to deliver compelling coverage that serves our viewers and upholds the highest standards of journalism.
The wage scale for this position is $33.56 per hour to $35.58 per hour.

Up to two (2) weeks of paid parental leave
