Who we're looking for:
The Sr. Manager, Enterprise Risk Management, will support the management of both financial and non-financial risks, ensuring the Bank maintains a robust governance framework. This role is pivotal in aligning risk management practices with the Bank’s strategic goals, regulatory requirements, and emerging industry best practices. The Sr. Manager will work closely with the ERM Director to enhance the Bank’s risk methodologies and foster a culture of risk awareness throughout the Bank.
What you'll do:
Support the implementation of risk management strategies, policies, and frameworks to align with the Bank’s organizational objectives, risk appetite, and regulatory guidelines.
Oversee the identification, assessment, and mitigation of key risks, including strategic, credit, capital, liquidity, operational, and regulatory risks.
Collaborate cross-functionally to prepare and deliver high-quality materials for executive and Board-level discussions.
Provide guidance to ensure effective management of risk exposures across business lines, with a focus on both financial and non-financial risks.
Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes to anticipate emerging risks, while identifying opportunities for risk optimization.
Support the development and enhancement of risk assessment methodologies, including metrics and models for monitoring risk exposures.
Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, addressing inquiries and ensuring compliance with evolving regulations.
Promote risk awareness through training, communication, and knowledge-sharing initiatives across all levels of the Bank.
What you bring:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management, governance, or related fields, with a strong understanding of both financial and non-financial risk frameworks.
MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Professional certification such as CPA, CFA, FRM, or equivalent is an asset.
Proven track record in leading risk management strategies and working closely with Senior Leadership.
Experience in developing strategic roadmaps and integrating risk management initiatives into broader business objectives.
Deep understanding of risk analytics, metrics, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to present complex risk information to Senior Leadership, Auditors, and Regulators in a clear and cohesive manner.
Advanced proficiency in Risk Management Systems; experience in using data-driven approaches to challenge critical business processes.
Strategic thinker with the ability to drive continuous improvement in risk management practices.
Strong analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
Effective at building relationships and working cross-functionally to drive risk-awareness.
