The Candidate
You are passionate about climate change and how to tackle this global issue one trade at a time. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed team player that fosters superior performance by utilizing their competences in deal making. You have an affinity with commodities and finance, are self-motivated and eager to develop your commercial skills and work in a close nit team. The ideal candidate should be confident, but open to direct feedback and preferably have a comprehensive understanding of Environmental Commodities (carbon, (bio)fuels, (renewable) power or gas markets). You excel in understanding your clients’ needs and transforming these into actions. We are looking for someone to develop themselves and grow with the company to become a key team player.
The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with mid and senior-level stakeholders across industries, including utilities, project developers, corporations, and industrial clients. Your primary goal will be to drive sales and close transactions that align with both client needs and our company’s strategic objectives.
As a Corporate Sales Trader, you will play a key role in expanding our market presence by offering a range of renewable energy solutions, including renewable energy contracts, energy efficiency solutions, sustainability consulting, and carbon reduction strategies. You will work closely with clients to help them meet their sustainability goals, reduce environmental risks, and optimize energy use.
Key Responsibilities: •Develop and maintain relationships with key corporate clients, including senior decision-makers. •Identify business opportunities and close high-value sales transactions. •Provide strategic energy and sustainability solutions tailored to client needs. •Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory developments, and market dynamics. •Collaborate with internal teams to drive growth and achieve ambitious sales targets.
The Requirements
In order to be considered for the role you will meet the following:
•Fluency in English, other language is a plus. •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, finance, economics or equivalent. •3-5 years of experience in commodities trading, brokering, business development, or key account management, with a track record of building relationships with corporate stakeholders and driving commercial growth. •Self-starter, motivated and eager to develop your skills and become a knowledge leader in the environmental commodity industry. •Articulate, precise and excellent communication skills (giving and receiving feedback) •Climate Advocate and have a drive to leave the world in a better place •Develop leads through business development, cold calling, networking and IT/Data applications. •Advanced excel skills is considered a plus.
