The Site Survey Technician travels to multiple client sites weekly to capture accurate architectural data using LiDAR, cameras, and drones. They are responsible for managing equipment, conducting site walkthroughs, and delivering high-quality point clouds and site reports.
Candidates must be comfortable with a travel-heavy schedule and possess the physical ability to work at heights and carry equipment up to 30 lbs. A high school diploma, valid driver's license, and technical aptitude for scanning equipment are required.
This is a travel-based, hands-on field role. The Site Survey Technician spends the majority of each month on the road (typically every week away from home) traveling to client sites across the country to capture accurate survey data for architectural documentation using LiDAR scanners, 360-degree cameras, and drone photography. Technicians work independently, covering 5–8 client sites per week, and are responsible for delivering high-quality point clouds, imagery, and site reports that meet company and client standards.
Before you apply, here's what a typical week actually looks like: early flights or long drives to reach client sites, multiple site visits per week, nights in hotels away from home, and full days on your feet, including climbing ladders and working on rooftops while carrying scanning equipment (up to 30 lbs). This role suits someone who thrives on the road, works well independently without daily in-person supervision, and is physically ready for sustained fieldwork in varying weather and site conditions.
If steady time at home each week is a priority for you right now, this role likely isn't the right fit and we'd rather you know that before you apply than after your first week on the road.
This role requires sustained physical activity in the field, every week, at client sites you won't have visited before. Candidates should be able to:
