The Apprentice Lineman performs construction and maintenance of electric transmission and distribution systems under supervision. Responsibilities include operating heavy equipment, climbing poles, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with completion of an accredited line worker training school or two years of related electric utility experience. Candidates must also obtain First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days of hire.

The Apprentice Lineman, with supervision, performs construction and maintenance of the electric system as directed. A successful Apprentice Lineman will complete and demonstrate the skills, knowledge, and responsibilities in each step of the apprentice training program as defined in the Association’s Standards of Apprenticeship, with or without reasonable accommodation.
