Realstar is a leading multi residential real estate company managing communities across Canada. We are currently hiring an Assistant Resident Manager Team for MacDonald Estates, one of our communities in Edmonton. This is a live in, full time opportunity for two people to work and reside together as a team, taking pride in a beautiful property and building strong relationships with our residents.
About the Role
As part of our Assistant Resident Manager Team, you and your partner will live on site and share responsibility for the day to day upkeep and operation of the building. Your work will include exceptional customer service, general cleaning, and minor maintenance, all in support of the Resident Manager and Property Manager. This role includes every other weekend and on call duties.
What You'll Do
Customer Service
Greet and interact with residents in a friendly, professional manner
Respond to resident concerns and service requests within 24 hours and follow up to ensure satisfaction
Handle office administrative tasks such as applications, notices, and lease renewals
Organize and help run resident events like holiday parties and summer barbeques
General Cleaning
Maintain cleanliness of common areas including foyers, amenity rooms, parking garage, locker rooms, patios, and rooftops
Prepare vacant units so they are move in ready
Manage garbage and recycling collection in line with the city schedule
Handle yard maintenance, including snow and ice removal and salting in winter
Property Maintenance
Complete daily walkthroughs and fix minor deficiencies
Report larger issues to your supervisor
Assist with HVAC monitoring and basic electrical, plumbing, boiler, and chiller troubleshooting
Help coordinate tradespeople and contractors as needed
Fire Safety
Understand fire and life safety systems and assist with emergency procedures when needed
What You Bring
Property management or customer service experience is an asset
Strong communication skills, written and verbal
Comfortable with basic computer tasks
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and move objects that may exceed that weight
A hands on, can do attitude and pride in keeping a property looking its best
