Team & Culture
Our team has a strong foundation in the construction industry, with deep expertise in contract structures and heavy civil methodologies. The Senior Estimator will play a pivotal role in preparing proposals and tenders, working closely under the guidance of our Estimating Manager. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience estimating major heavy civil projects across BC, while also enjoying the independence to lead smaller initiatives.

As a key member of our Business Development department, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment, quickly adapting to shifting priorities and workloads while delivering high-quality results.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyze project drawings and specifications to produce accurate quantity takeoffs.
- Develop project schedules and construction methodologies.
- Collaborate effectively with Estimating and Operations teams to deliver competitive bids
- Understand and apply common heavy civil contract models.
- Review and interpret contract terms and conditions with precision.
- Demonstrate knowledge of heavy civil activities, particularly earthworks and concrete work, often in remote locations.
- Adapt quickly to changing project environments and requirements.
- Work effectively both independently and within a team setting.
- Take initiative, embrace learning opportunities, and assume new responsibilities as required.
- Manage time and priorities efficiently to meet deadlines.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in heavy civil construction is preferred.
- Proficiency with construction estimating software.
- Field experience, technical diploma, or engineering degree is considered an asset.
- Registration with ASTTBC or EGBC is an asset.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Project.
- Skilled in change management and adaptable under pressure.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
